You can spend your whole life waiting for your ship to come in. Even then, a lot of people don’t have their bags packed and ticket ready. Keep Making! Keep creating! Keep honing your skills!

3d printing is easy once you learn all the printing variables and settings, create or adjust obj files, print, sand, prime, and paint.

Maker’s have to Make! I bought a used vacuum chamber and pump, then settled into making UV reactive jewel props with resin. I needed a custom mold for more resin work, so I bought a broken dental vacuum former off ebay, repaired it, and started casting. I needed a motorized turntable for a green-screen shot, so I cut some scrap lumber, added parts from a broken bar stool, and rotisserie motor, and got the shot. Students were having trouble transporting variable transformers, so I designed and built simple and strong plywood armor. I needed a high-hat that would allow a heavy camera to be gripped and adjusted for some pretty ridiculous locked off angles, some steel plate and baby pins later, and the project is done. How about a 1/4-20 adjustable ball adapter for a light stand that can support up to 20 lbs. No problem! Students need a light-up wizards staff? I grabbed a branch, a dremel tool, some AA batteries and whittled up a decorative top. These problems shall not pass! How about some minor forging work for a cloak clasp in the wardrobe department? Just let me at it!
